Code for turning off slide autoplay

Hi all,

Is there a code snippet I can paste in to stop a slider component autoplaying?

I have a slider which autoplays as I want it to do.
But I also have a button elsewhere on the page which should turn off the sider autoplay when the button is pressed.

Possible?
