I bought a Basic Site plan but I still cannot export my code. Did I miss something? I thought you get this option when you have a paid plan.
You can probably contact support to get help with this.
It is confusing. Because the basic plan is for hosting a basic/static site through Webflow. But this can be done from a free Workspace plan.
Exporting code is part of paid workspace plan which will allow you to create multiple sites that you’d be able to export code and host externally.
You can explain your confusion to Webflow and I bet they’ll help you get the correct payments and plans.
Thank you, will contact them right away.
Hey, did you get an answer for this?
I’m experiencing the same issue. Just paid for a basic plan but the option of code export is not available. Message is to “upgrade…”
Unfortunately, exporting code is part of a Workspace plan, not site hosting plan. You’ll need to cancel hosting for the website and sign up for a Workspace plan. Webflow support should be able to help you. The pricing page is sorta confusing.
Sure, but as a side note: how sad that things have to purposefully confusing like this.
Agree. Numerous posts about price confusion.
Since Webflow is geared more for designers and developers, they should have the Workspace plans highlighted as the initial option on the pricing page.
Having the Workspace plans subheading “Add a Team” + being in dim gray + no buttons, I think many people overlook that tab as something they don’t need.
I’d assume that one-off hosted sites (like offered by Square Space or Wix) are less common but maybe I’m wrong.
But also, if you pay for a hosted site, they should give the option to download everything.
