CMS single reference field

Hi guys would really appreciate some help here. it’s regarding CMS collections and single reference fields. I have included the preview link and also an image to explain the layout. I have a real estate website and in it, I’ve got “off-plan properties” that is connected to the “off-plan Development” Collection, and within the offline development I have linked it to another collection called “cities”. The problem is I am not seeing the option to add cities on the Off plan Properties collection template or on the static filter page. Is it because it’s a single reference field? All the other text fields are visible in the selection for binding, but reference field is not visible, which doesn’t make sense because if it’s not possible to bind and show, then what is the point of it being there in the first place.
Will really appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this. Clutching at straws here.

Webflow’s CMS has what I call a “one-hop” rule. From Off Plan Properties you can access a one-hop reference like Off Plan Developments, but not two hops, to Cities.

You either need to rethink what you’re trying to do, and how to data model it, or use JS to collect the data, bridge the gap, and complete your UX.

Thank you so much for your response. Webflow is great, but still has a long way to go in some of the most simplest things. I suppose we also expect a lot from them. :eyes:
Also just want to confirm that Finsweet’s CMS nest can’t help me with this right. I’ve used their filter and some other attributes solution. But haven’t explored nesting. So what I’m dealing with here isn’t a nesting issue right? Can you point me in the right direction.

Haven’t used it, I build my own solutions for clients when I need that capability. You might find a way.
