Change color of iPhone notch bar to the current section

I have a dark website. On my iPhone the bar at the top next to the notch is white and gives an ugly contrast. I could give the body a color, but that wont solve it because i have different colors in certain sections. I have seen websites where the “notchspace” is changing the color based on the current section. How is this possible?
