Can't get custom css to work in <head> or before </body>

I can’t seem to add any custom css to my website. This has been going on for quite awhile and I’ve finally had enough.

Here’s an example of what I’m dealing with…

For the record, I’ve even tried !important, without success.

You’re using <script> tags, but CSS styles use <style> tags

Also, keep in mind that these style changes won’t reflect in the Designer, only on the front-end—to show style changes live, you can include the code within an HTML Embed element.
