Cannot get search icon button to sit inside text input that acts as a search box

I can’t seem to be able to get my search button to sit inside my text input. Appreciate any form of input to assist me in solving this issue.

Put the icon as a non repeat background image.

The icon is alrdy a non repeat background image. When I use the preview function to live preview the site, the position of the search icon actually shifts to the left.
