Can not login into webflow using Google

Hey guys,

Having difficulties logging in using google. Whenever using google account to sign in (no matter using google chrome or Microsoft edge), a sign of “user is required” appears on the right top corner.

Please advice how to login .

Hi Wallace,

Couldn’t guess- sounds like an issue for Webflow’s support team.
However you can login using that same email as long as you have access, just use it in the email field. If you don’t know your password, reset it.

how do you fix this issue, I have the same problem

I can’t as never sign up to webflow before. So I tried to create account and it keep sending me this. Reset password didn’t work cause I don’t have an account to begin with

My guess would be a browser, cache, or cookie related issue.
Try using a standard username and password instead of a Google SSO login.
Also try Chrome Incognito mode.

It’s still not clear whether you’re trying to create a new account, or login to an existing one. Either way, if your having problems, just use the standard email + password, using your Google email.

Later you can use Google SSO with that same email. Webflow doesn’t care which way you login- the email address identifies your account.

I have the exact same issue, already tried log in from incognito, erasing cache, cookies historial, nothing works… I cant reset password neither because I was logged in with Google. When I click on forgot password I dont receive the email, is like webflow doesnt recognize my email. I see the message “user is required” everytime…

You’re not the first, but I haven’t seen any info on what causes it. Since you’ve tried incognito, I’d try using a different network. Sounds like it could be a router, firewall or VPN issue. Otherwise most likely everyone would be having this issue.

FYI, that part doesn’t matter, you’d just give the same email, and reset password so that you can login directly without Google.

Unfortunately support requires login- the one path you can reach them through is account recovery-
