What are the best practices when using Japanese?
Are there any tutorials on using Japanese in Webflow.
I am not referring to localization as the site will be displayed in Japanese only.
One problem I have is, sometimes when changing the text on buttons, links, etc. the characters appear twice or can’t be deleted unless I deselect and reselect.
Can this be avoided?
I haven’t downloaded any specific font families yet, I am just using the default ones.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Stay safe and enjoy!
I’ve never encountered any issues but I’ve typically used good full-spectrum unicode fonts when I build kanji sites.
My best guess is that the font you’re using might be using an older encoding format which is tripping things up as you paste from the clipboard, or could even be missing characters which could confuse the renderer.
My Japanese isn’t solid enough to comfortably type much using IME, but copy paste from other apps where I’d prepare and translate was quite reliable.
Yes a complete font. When I was doing a lot of kanji work I can across a few fonts that were missing specific character ranges. I think in general the standard unicode fonts are quite solid now.
