Best practice: sticky vertical navigation layout

Hello, I am looking for the best practice on layout of a vertical sticky navigation.

note my vertical nav will only display at 1440+ viewports

Here is my attempt. Page body set to flex horizontal. Vert nav sits in the body, page sections all sit in a div that is 100vw with 200px margin (vert nav is 200px wide).

Is this the best way to layout a sticky vertical nav?
