I’ve added a background video thru the built in component (no audio track) but on mobile it doesn’t play.

As long as the audio track is muted it should work on mobile.

Webflow already implemented a fix in 2017 for their background video component:
Hi,
I’ve been looking into how to implement HTML5 videos as a background video on mobile. Previously I thought it was impossible due to OS limitations, however I’ve found it being used on quite a few websites now (They aren’t GIFS as far as I can tell) and was wondering if anyone had any advice on how I could achieve this?

For a background video to work on mobile devices you need the html attributes “muted” and “playsinline”, but the background video component already has those attributes built in.
