Background size problem

Hello, I have 2 questions.

  1. I want to make big the background image of the website I am working on as an experiment, so when I set the width to 120% it is exactly what I want, I don’t know if this is correct, but after doing this, a space appears on the right side of the website. How can I make big the background image without any space on the right?

  2. In addition, when I delete the background image I added or make it invisible, the layers with the text on it are also invisible, I couldn’t understand why.
