Is it possible to apply text color from the collection style setting (from the CMS) to the hover state only instead of the normal state??
You could try some custom code. Here’s an example

Could you help me regarding adding a custom code? I want the drop-down menus to take their hover state background colors dynamically from the color field in the Collection.
I am referring to the “Workshops” and “Courses” drop down boxes under “Activities” menu item.
Where should I add the custom code, and what kind of a custom code it should be? Thank you in advance!
