White PNG uploads turn black

Hi Everyone,

I’m replacing white images from a template with white pngs but when uploaded they turn black? Did anyone ever encounter that issue? Many thanks.

Hi Cloe,
First, you’ll need to share your readonly link and published site link, and maybe some screenshots to indicate exactly where you’re having issues.

But that shouldn’t be possible. Browsers don’t change the colors in images, there are really only two situations I can envision here-

  1. Filters. If you have CSS filters applied to your image, it’s possible to invert it or change the color with the right combination of filters. Check your CSS settings.
  2. SVGs. If your image is and SVG ( not a PNG ), it may be configured to use currentColor in which case it would inherit the text color set on the element.
