Where do my 'liked' showcase sites go?

I’ve been really enjoying the showcases, seeing what others can make, and getting inspiration from them. I have been actively liking many sites, but are these likes shown somewhere? What is the purpose of these likes other than appreciating the creators?

To see your likes you can go to your account and click on ‘public profile’.

You will then be able to see your likes
