I’m a new web designer and a teacher at a high school. I’m working on creating a learning hub website for my students to access and download resources like assignment briefs and tutorials.
I’m currently learning Webflow and feeling a bit stuck. I’ve looked for tutorials, but many are outdated. Specifically, I need help with:
Placing a hero section with a background image of my choice.
Making the hero section responsive.
Any guidance or resources you can share would be greatly appreciated!
You should definitely go through the Webflow U courses. Yes there are some minor details out of date, however nothing has changed regarding background images or responsive design, and you’ll need to learn those principles first.
There is a 21 day course there as well that will help you work out the design principles you need to do basic work in Webflow.
Tne reason is that how you make something like your hero responsive requires a lot of decision on your part regarding how you want it to appear on desktops, tablets, phones, etc. No one else can reasonably make those decisions for you.
Thank you for responding to my query. I went through the tutorial you referred me to, “21 Days of Learning.” In the video, the instructor does not explain in depth how to make the heading have an image background like the screenshot below:
However, I will continue to watch the training videos and follow along until I understand the principles of website design using one of the best web design software, Webflow.
