Webflow & GDPR | Hosting in EU + Privacy Statement needed

What I meant is ga is sending users data to the US servers, you have no control over that, and this is already prohibited by gdpr, unless explicit consent is given

Correct - but you can ask for consent using a cookie bar so thatā€™s okay, itā€™s whether you can have user details in forms and or webflow commerce thats the question. All very confusing. If Webflow is GDPR compliant it might be okay?

Thanks for that. CookieBot has a Google Consent Mode which allows the Cookie Consent box to load before any of the Google Cookies.
Though @dram I do have clients who want anything that sends data to the US removed. (They process sensitive data.) The Data Protection Commission in Ireland is very active! Theyā€™re beginning to issue fines today for any cookie consent notices that are not up to par.

Since this is a couple of months old, Iā€™d like to ask if there are any updates on this?

Hi everyone,

I am in the UK and using webflow to build an ecommerce shop. I found this link very helpful:

It will require some commitment but helps to understand what you need to include or what is needed to comply.
Is there anyone else who has built/or building an ecommerce site in the UK and if so what are you putting in your privacy policy?
I am getting confused about the data handling of payment providers so if anyone can help me in that area it would be greatly appreciated. My issues are who is the data controller (when using paypal this isnā€™t clear to me at the moment) and finding how they handle data is confusing.
I will link my privacy policy when itā€™s finished so people can have a look.
Regarding cookies and consent check out this link:

Finsweet have been very kind and produced this service for free! Big love to those guys and girls.

What a headache this all isā€¦

I have heard that Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics is no longer complient with GDPR. What analytics do you use in EU countries ?

To all European Freelancers and Agencies ā€“ complying with GDPR when offering Webflow as a service has finally become much more straightforward! :tada:

Take a look at our newest article below, which weā€™ve produced in partnership with Dr. Christian Teupen, a legal expert and a member of the Society for Data Protection and Data Security (GDD) in Bonn. It provides an in-depth exploration of what the new Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework implies for Webflow.

Great news, Iā€™d love to read the full article but there seems to be an error on the page causing it to cut off most of the contentā€¦
