Trying to create an overlapping hero section

Hello there!

I’m trying to create a hero section for my website in a way that allows it to be overlapped by other sections when scrolled over, and I’m having a bit of trouble with it. Any advice?

Have you tried absolute positioning the hero section and upping the z-index of the elements you want to scroll over it?

Or set the hero section as the background that stays at the top.

Not sure since I do not see what the site looks like, hope this helps.
