Styling of Select field for contact form

Hello,

I have read a few older posts regrading this and wondering if there are more options now. For my contact form I added a Select Field Element and it seems a few years ago it was not possible to edit the padding. I am having issues with this, and wondering if it’s still not possible to add more left padding, for example, to the text that sits inside the select field? It’s not matching with the rest of the form (where I am able to edit the padding just fine).

If that is actually the case and I cannot change the padding for the select field, are there any work arounds?

Can you explain a bit more what you mean? in the style pane, you can use the dropdown to the right to select and style the different states of the field such as selected. Does this help?
