Srcset generation when importing images via API

Hi everyone,

I can’t find this information anywhere in the API documentation or on forums. I understand that Webflow generates responsive images automatically when they are uploaded to a site. When importing image files into a CMS via the API, I would expect to see an srcset generated automatically. It looks like it isn’t doing it, and I am not sure if this is to be expected or not. Any insight would be appreciated, thank you :)

Hi, is there any update on this? We’re using whalesync and seeing the same issue.

Did you get anywhere with this? We uploaded tones of images via csv to realise that srcset is no longer being generated.

I can confirm that this is the case unfortunately, I was completely unaware of this limitation/bug/oversight, whatever you want to call it, until I’ve just had it pointed out to me today by support. Very frustrating.

Please vote for my idea, we need srcset to be generated when images are added via the API it’s essential for scaling content https://wishlist.webflow.com/ideas/WEBFLOW-I-33703
