I’m kind of at the end of my game here. My website is as good as done (I know I still need to work on some design details) but I’m really getting stuck at the side scrolling of the page in mobile-view.
I got a lot of tips everywhere, setting width of all elements to 100%, setting overflow to none, etcetera.
Can somebody help me solve this? I would highly appreciate if some-one can also tell me if there is a way to know what exact element/text/etc is causing the side scrolling?
Thank you so much! That really helped alot. I’ve changed a lot of elements according to the video.
I thought I had it fixed, atleast on my mobile at home the side scrolling is gone! But then I asked a friend to look at his mobile and the side scrolling is still there. Now I’m a bit lost again.
The only thing I can find myself is the first picture. That frame seems to go out of the range. But when I change the max width to 100% the picture get’s really small.
I have no idea if the picture is the problem, again on my own phone it works great now!
I really enjoy sharing insights and helping designers find the solution path, but this is also my main work- I have to be careful about investing too many hours in free support ;)
The tutorial I created should give you the approach you need but yes it can still take some time to find- and if your problem is browser-specific then you will need extra devices or a subscription to browserstack to cover the bases.
Make sure your friend clears his browser cache in case he’s looking at an cached page that doesn’t have your fixes.
Drop me a message if you do need help, I’ll send you my details.
