Navbar menu keep resetting to Hidden

Hello Webflow community,

I’m currently experiencing an issue with my Webflow project, and I’m seeking some insights or guidance.

Problem Description:
I have a navbar menu in my project that I’ve set to be visible, but it keeps reverting to hidden. I’ve tried multiple times to set it to “Show,” but the changes don’t seem to stick. Here are some details about the situation:

Possible Causes Checked:

No interactions are set to hide the navbar.
Responsive settings are adjusted for each breakpoint.
Symbol overrides are ruled out.
Classes and styles are modified correctly.
Changes have been published, but the issue persists.

Steps I’ve Taken:
I’ve gone through the Webflow Designer, adjusted settings, and published changes, but the navbar menu continues to revert to hidden.

Im having the very same issue! Were you able to find a solution?

I’ve tried everything, but no matter what I do, the setting reverts back to hidden after publishing.

Looking forward to hearing your good news!

I think you’re referring to a dropdown menu? I don’t believe there is a native way to force them open, and it would be fairly awkward from a UX standpoint as well.

The open setting is for only for design-time access so that you can perform your menu design work.

You could achieve it with custom CSS using !important to negate what Webflow.js does, but it would be uncloseable.
