I’m interested in creating an animation (in Flash or Photoshop) of a logo being drawn in sketchily, and featuring this in my header area. I wondered if it would be possible to create such an animation and place it like a static image. Any thoughts?

yes and also, I would use a GIF since all mobile phones can view GIFs, not flash.
