Is it possible to disable closing the menu when clicking outside the menu?

I am wondering if it is possible to disable the menu closing when you click outside the menu forcing the user to click the close button exclusively to close the menu. This is a great feature in a lot of designs, but it would be nice to be able to turn it off too.
