Image Hover Effect is blocking interaction with other images

Took me a while to find this thread:

Hello, I’m trying to recreate this effect shown here: https://flowmingo-mini-6.webflow.io/ but I would like the image to be shown over the text, instead of in the background. I tried it changing the Z-index but now the effect doesn’t work anymore. Any idea how can I fix this? But setting my hover images wrapper to pointer-events: none worked like a charm.
