I cannot seem to add components including custom code, my side panel only allows me to see what’s already there
Any ideas why?

You have to select an element on the designer and then you can click on the component symbol with a plus + sign to add a new component. Is this what you are asking for? or are you looking for the embed element? That is under all the elements, just go to the + sign on the top left and click it to access all the elements. I hope this helps.
