First question. Did you intentionally set up the individual instances within your navigation component? I see a number of items with settings outside of first clicking on the pencil icon to edit the component. See screen grabs below. This might help your problem. If it was not your intention, I recently showed someone how to remove the instance settings in the post below. You’d follow the same steps.
