Figma to Webflow Plugin - Text Layers into Divs

Hello when i use the figma to Webflow Plugin, my Text Layers appear as divs in webflow. The [H1]-- Tag makes the headline as text but all other texts are shown as divs. I can edit the divs, but how can i make sure that the divs are not divs but normal text layers in webflow too?

The [P]-- Tag for Paragraph doesn’t help. Still shown as div when importing.

Someone has the solution? Thank You!

Same issue over here… can’t seem to find a proper answer.

Hey everyone! I was dealing with the same issue and it is quite frustrating, but I found some progress if not a complete solution yet. So, by clicking around in the Figma to Webflow plugin from the Figma side I found out by accident that, whenever you are about to use the feature of copy-paste, I noticed you can assign the taxonomy of the website structure a design element should have on Webflow. Right below the big blue button, where it says “HTML tag / Div Section Link” if you click an element of your design (completely detached of instances first) and then click “Section”. It would turn what you clicked into a section.

If you click to select a piece of text, the menu where it says HTML tag and so on will turn into a row of optionslike P, a, h1, h2, h3. Once you click that, it will
rename your layer to something Webflow will understand. If you paste that on webflow, you will see it works with the correct taxonomy. So what you would have to do then is rework the layers so the plugin understands it, and then you can resynch your style guide to import the components one by one. Please note the name of the styles and components and layers has to be super tidy now.

I know, this is really annoying, but it is progress compared to how stuck I felt doing this. The team needs to provide better documentation to make this understandable.

I hope this text makes sense, I wrote it after burning some neurons understanding it.
