You want to be using the HTML Embed block! Not the code Block.
The code block is for showcase code in a nice and easy to view way, while the HTML EMbed block will allow you to actually embed that code within your site! (It’s just named ‘Embed’ in the Advanced blocks section in the Add Elements menu)
