Clipping Mask Size Animation - It's Possible?

Hi i’m designing a site for a client and i’ll develop it on webflow, while i’m designing i’m thinking with the interactions and animations.

I’m wondering if it’s possible to create a clipping mask with a background image that can be animated in webflow with mouse:hover trigger.

Maybe masking with an svg and animating it?

I’m interested in this myself.
It doesn’t seem natively possible so I’m looking at other options with jQuery. Want me to share if I have luck?
