Hey Jon!

I’d recommend starting off with the Webflow navbar element instead. This allows you to trigger an animation on navbar open/close.

It’s important to have the navbar element selected while applying the animation, otherwise it won’t be selectable

Hi Rory!
Thank you for your reply.

Last time I tried to use the top nav template, I found it to be restricting in terms of styling, so would prefer to try to fix the it with the current nav that I made. Any thoughts on a potential fix?

Do you think the problem I’m experiencing is a bug, or caused by something wrong in my settings?

Regards,
Jon

You’d have to check with custom code if the menu has been closed or not, since the current animation trigger you’re using is depending on the first and second click.

Closing the menu in any other way than second clicking the menu won’t trigger the closing animation.

Hi Rory,

I see!
Thank you so much for your input!
I will attempt re-making the nav using the nav template🙂

Cheers
Jon
