Hello Everyone, the only info I’ve been able to find on adding canonical tags within the Webflow CMS is in step seven here: https://webflow.com/blog/seo-and-webflow-the-essential-guide
Unfortunately, there’s a problem with this solution, as noted in that article:
“if you use this method, you’ll always need to add a link to the canonical field in your Collection. Otherwise, the canonical code snippet will show up empty in your source code.”
Does anyone know if having an empty canonical field would keep a page from being indexed properly, or if we would need to link a page to itself?
This seems like a really inelegant solution that doesn’t allow for occasional republishing.
