Can you use HiDPI images with collections?

I am using collections for my eCommerce product pages. The product images vary in size from product to product and brand to brand. I want to use collections to display each of the product images in HiDPI.

The issue is in order to use HiDPI images with the database they have to be the same exact size. For example, each image has to be 100 X 100 exactly. If you want the images to vary in size then you can’t use HiDPI images.

Is anyone aware of a way I can use HiDPI images that vary in size in the same collection?
