Best way to create this cropped alphabet letter look?

We would like the giant alphabet letters ‘m’ and ‘n’ to have some of their strokes missing (sorry if that didn’t sound quite right! Not really sure how else to describe it ). An example below (done in Ps):

Is it possible to do in Webflow? Or is it best to create these letters as images?

Create a div with position relative. Place the first letter into the div. Add a triangle svg positioned absolutely with a higher z-index. Orient as needed.
