Banner Above Fixed Top Nav

I am looking to add a banner site-wide above the fixed top nav. My top nav is a symbol and I thought that it would be as easy as adjusting the symbol but I cannot figure out how to add in the banner universally. My site is rather large and I would really prefer to not have to manually add it to each page.

I have attached a screenshot of what I would like to achieve. (j.crew)

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Why don’t you build it into the top nav symbol?

Can confirm it works. I did it myself on your share link. Just double-click the symbol and you’ll be able to edit it. Add in your black bar as a fixed div with a set height and positioning, then add that height as a top margin on the NavBarMain element.

Presto-chango, all of your pages that use the symbol are updated.

@Cricitem Thank you! It must have been user error!

I am working on adding the banner now but I cannot figure out how to get the div into the symbol since the NavBarMain cannot be nested. Any thoughts? I must be doing something wrong. Thanks!

Could you take a screenshot of the error message? I’m not sure I am parsing the wording correctly…

Ah! I just got it! Thanks so much for getting back to me and helping me find a solution! I have been overthinking it!

THANK YOU!
