2 Columns with one image on left and two on right

I’m trying to add a two column section to my website. The column setting are 8:4. The column on the left has a big image and the column on the right has two smaller images stacked on top of each other. the height of the two small images is supposed to equal the height of the larger image. When I first set this up it looks great, but after the page saves, now a bit of space occurs to the right of my smaller images, causing them to not align to the height of the larger image. Why does it do this? The proportions of all the images are the same. I have all the padding and margins set to 0.
