Z-index in Quick Stack

Hello! I have two elements in a cell within quick stack. One is an image, the other, text. I would like the text only to be visible when the mouse hovers over the image. That’s the end goal.

But before I set that interaction, I am trying to use z-index. I’ve set the z-index of the text to “1” and the image to “2”. However, the cell seems to respond to every element I drag into it, so instead of layering as desired, the cell simply expands to accomodate both the text and the image. Can someone help me fix this issue? Please navigate to the design page and the first cell on the upper left is the one I’m referring to (iDesign + image of woman reading on hammock)

Thank you!

You’ll need to set one to Absolute positioning to make them overlap

both of them have the relative position and relative position does not affect on document flow
you should use absolute positioning for overlaping them
