Www or not domain & global canonical url choice

Hi, Looking for some advice on this

Our website is set on custom domain with www.sailreverso.com by default
In the SEO tab, the global canonical is set to https://sailreverso.com

is there a conflict between these 2 settings ?
if so, which one should we modify without hurting SEO ?

Also, we have both properties set on the search console:

https://sailreverso.com (without www)
https://www.sailreverso.com

All pages show on the https://www.sailreverso.com search console property except the home
Search console says it was not indexed in this property because not canonical.

SEO consideration is important to us on this pb resolution

many thanks in advance for your help and thoughts !

Yes, I would like to know this.
Do we use https://www.example.com
Or https://just example.com

Is the www advisable or not?

Hi there! We just solved this issue for our site. Previously we had the one with www as a root domain and canonical URL. But now we changed both of them to https://grinteq.com/ and it affected the Search Console results A LOT! Also, the main page is now properly indexed on Console.

And donโ€™t forget not only to set up the new canonical URL, but also check the Collections templates, itโ€™s better manually write Og:URL tag for each of them in the Head code section.

As for the Console results, you can create a Domain property, which will combine all the results for both of URLs, very handy (it works through DNS).
