Wistia embed not playing video preview

I have a WIstia video embedded at the top of my website at therahive.com —this video currently plays muted on page and it loops the entire video per the “auto play” setting in Wistia.

However, the experience that I really want is to have the video preview to loop the first few seconds of the video (muted) until the user clicks on the video player. This is a better experience because I can choose which part of the video is previewed.

When I switch to these settings however, all I see if a static thumbnail in Webflow. You can see a second video lower on the homepage of TheraHive.com that is set up this way.

@rsmartly - I think you might want to load a video that is your pre-roll and with custom code, listen for an event (button click) which then triggers loading the full video as a replacement or as a modal overlay.

Nice part of this approach would be reducing the page load on visit.
