I’m using a template that has rich text in it. I’ve been watching some videos and leaning how it works.
My question is this. Why rich text. What is the advantage of it over normal text?

Rich text allows you to control how text styles are applied within a rich text element without defining extra styles. It also lets you copy and paste text that already has styling embedded such as bold or italics or headers and it will carry across. I believe it also improves SEO.
Something that was told to me. Not sure if it has merit or not. I do think it makes it a lot easier to have headers in the right place throughout your text which will definitely increase your SEO.
