Why is my website asking for my location?

I just visited my own site on my phone, and I got that little dialog box that says “kellyknowes.art wants to use your device’s location [allow] [block]”

This is definitely not something I set up, and it’s never done this before.

Making me pretty uncomfortable… could my site have been compromised?

What could cause my website to ask for the user’s location?

Hi @kellyknowles

This has to do with location based services. SO if you have a map on your website, this would be the cause.

Also, new iOS13 and Chrome features have turned this on automatically as well.
