Webflow has a neat feature where it will automatically create the ID of a form field if you assign it a name… like so:
I frequently encounter somewhat of a bug where I create the ID before the Name field… like so:
The issue/bug arises when I go to fill the Name field:
Webflow recognizes that id “first-name” is already taken and supplements it with “first-name-2” without realizing that, in fact, the location that id was already taken by is itself. Fixing this issue should be a key step in Webflow accomplishing sentience.
