Using Uncommon theme, changing background image without it repeating?

Greetings, I am using the Uncommon theme.
In the theme preview, it showed three different images in the main section on the home page. Now that I’m using the theme, I’m having trouble changing the background image in the main column without it repeating to the other two sections. Also, when I change the “Heading”, the text in the other two sections changes with it. How do I separate the changes with each subsection?
