Hi,
I’m not able to rename nav link under the nav menu when double clicking on “nav link”. I see previous posts that this issue has been resolved. Perhaps I’m missing something subtle. Thanks.
You need to change it in the Styles tab, not the Navigator. Because it’s a pre-defined element Nav Link will be blank but you can rename that style whatever you want.
@jmkriz Thank you very much.
@jmkriz Hi, I thought the change was just taking a while to update but it’s still showing as “nav link” on the staging site.
I think you might need to read up on what the classes are used for. I see you have named them each according to the verbiage of the link but that’s not really how it’s supposed to work. Class names have no bearing on the text that is displayed on screen. Classes | Webflow University
Anyway, you just need to change the Nav Link text in the designer. I wasn’t able to open the menu for some reason, so I had to reenable it on desktop view and then you can just replace the text. Oh, I also had to remove the .bkd
div because it had a high z-index and honestly I don’t know what it’s for. See if this screenshot helps:
the ‘designer’ is the paintbrush at the top right that says “style (s)”? I don’t see where to change the text from here. I thought perhaps the text came from the page label. For example “nav link” is linked to the “Island Info” page in the “nav link settings” but is “Island Info” when viewing the site. Thanks for your help.

@jmkriz I never would have found this! You are an Angel. Thank you for your time and patience.
