Unable to place a <div> inside a <li>

As the title says, I am unable to place a div block inside a list item.

According to @cyberdave reply on this page, it should be possible. The HTML specification also allows div blocks inside of list items.

I have tried:

  • Relaunching the browser
  • Running the “Empty Cache and Hard Reload” command
  • Dragging the div block into the list item in the navigator
  • Dragging the div block into the list item on the canvas

I get a red warning saying: “Non-List items cannot be placed in a List.” But I am not trying to place it into a list, but into a list item.

Is this a bug or expected behavior?

After some more tinkering I was able to place a div block into a list item.

It only works when I drag a new list item element from the Add Elements panel into the existing list and then add the div block directly after. If, however, I first populate the list item with text by double clicking on it in the canvas and typing, then I can no longer place div blocks inside it even after I clear the text and the list item reverts to looking like a brand new one.

So yes, this is a small bug.
