UI Design course

Hi everyone!

I’m new to Webflow and love this tool, I’m already selling contracts for web development and the journey looks awesome and bright.

I’ve seen online that there are different rules to respect in order to create a great UI Design such as REM, EM sizing and so on.

I’ve seen a couple of videos of people suggesting to duplicate their full style but I’m not sure on how to use it and they are not very helpful on explaining how to do so.

If I come here today, it’s to understand more about it and ask you guys if you know any specific course - webflow related - that will help me figure out how to prepare my projects in the most efficiant ways using a good class system. Especially with a cohesive overall padding that makes the websites look way more high quality. (I just learned there is a “8 point grid system” rule. I wish I could understand it more and use it in my designs.

Best Regards,
Florian

Hi Florian, welcome to Webflow! Great to see your already putting good practices into action! I would suggest looking into these bits to help you become a Webflow wizard and make your clients happy!

You can go though this doc and try familiarise yourself with the client first approach and using their class system and much more. They also have a chrome plugin which has lots of goodies which you can play around with.

Your point on “people suggesting to duplicate” this can speed up the development as you can get components libraries which have ready built components ready to go. There are also cleanable Webflow projects which can help you to get certain designs or functionality made by the Webflow community.

But overall I would start by looking into these few bits and I hope you have pleasant experience with Webflow!

Thank you very much for your kind reply!

I will take a very close look to “client first approach” as a starting point.

I wish you a great journey too,
Florian
