Trouble with safari iOS horizontal bounce

Hi I’m making a wedding site with some animations and I’m experiencing some weird issue with the Safari browser on the iPhone. When scrolling horizontally it allows a sneak peak on the sides before it bounces back. It does not show any horizontal scroll but it gives a sort of jelly-effect when scrolling.

When I try it with the Chrome-browser it works as I am used to. No Jelly-effect just vertical scrolling.

Some weird extra info: when the site has been scrolled to the QR-code, the horizontal jelly-effect disappears and the whole site is locked in horizontal scroll.

I think it might have something to do with the animations but I have not figured out if this is the case.

If anybody has experienced anything like this I would really appreciate some advice.

hi @EivindSolberg I have no issues on iPhone.

Thanks for checking @Stan, I have tried with several iPhones. The one I’m using 13 pro max, produced what you see in gif - where it has this jello-bounce effect on scrolling. But I have tried it with regluar 13 and then it does not show this behavior.

I have 3 old iPhones but I have tested web only on 15 plus.
