as an seo company… it doesn’t bother me…
- we stopped using meta-keywords about a month after matt cutts announced their insignificance in rankings.
we were hesitant at first…
- our testing indicated (and still does) that bing and yahoo still checking meta-keywords.
(for us) removing the meta-keywords has had little to no traffic different from Google…
- however, some of our bing and yahoo placements have dropped a bit.
the amount of traffic we get from google is so much higher than bing and yahoo combined
- that we decided to continue “not using them”.
instead… we concentrate on the title tags, meta description, and creating keyword rich content.
seems to work.
