The effects of CMS on SEO

I am interested in placing all my static pages into CMS collections and have the page content pulled from the CMS. I would have different CMS collections depending on the content. For example: membership pages in one cms collection, certification pages in another CMS collection

QUESTION: 1) would it affect the SEO on each of the pages? I know I would have to set different fields in the CMA collections to represent specific meta tags?

  1. would you suggest I do this? I don’t know much about wordpress, but i believe this is similar to what wordpress does.

Thank you.

CMS pages are published as flat, so no, there will not be speed issues if that’s what you’re thinking about.

Wordpress has more options to build your URLs and make them more semantic or respect a structure you’re trying to achieve for whatever reasons. But apart from that, I can see no reason why you shouldn’t pass your static pages to CMS.
