Subscription Billing Method: Bi-Weekly

Is it possible to charge a customer bi-weekly? For subscriptions, I’m only seeing the options, Day/Week/Month/Year.

My client wants to sell a weekly subscription as well as a bi-weekly subscription.

If this option is not possible natively, does anyone have any tips on how to achieve this method?

Hi RyenMM! Bi-weekly billing is not a native option for subscription services, but there are workarounds. One option is to use a payment processor that allows for custom billing frequencies or create two separate subscription plans. However, bi-weekly billing can create complexity and may not be the best option for all subscription services. I appreciate that! I’m going to talk with the clients today and see if they’re 100% set on that the bi-weekly option.

Hey @RyanMM we have one other option if helpful! Our Simple Subscriptions app will allow you a lot more flexibility in billing options, including biweekly. So if that’s something that your clients want to pursue try the free trial signup and you can get a feel for the app and functionality.

I’m having a look and testing out the subscriptions option on Monto. So far so good!
Is it possible to start charging on a specific date? I see I can add a delay by number of days, but I’m hoping to start charging customers on a specific date. Basically, the subscription if for a physical product that begins shipping at the end of the month. Using the time between now and then to collect presales and then only charging once the product is ready.

Glad it’s going well to start. :sunglasses: We don’t currently support that feature but the idea of a presale is definitely interesting… I’m adding that to our list of feature requests and tagging you in it so we can reach out as we get to consider that for dev.
