Subdomain Indexing & Hosting

Hello,

I am new to webflow (and to building websites in general) and I have a few questions about optimizing for SEO  I just purchased the domain mbajourneys.com from Namecheap.

  1. If I set “Disable Webflow Subdomain Indexing” to NO, then won’t my content be double counted for both the mbajourneys.webflow.io URL and the mbajourneys.com domain I bought from Namecheap? I don’t want to be penalized by google for having duplicate content across both URLs.

  2. As I continue making updates to my site, is there any reason why I should be publishing to both my mbajourneys.webflow.io URL in addition to my mbajourneys.com URL? Or can I just publish to my mbajourneys.com URL?

  3. In the robots.txt free text field, I put “Sitemap: https://mbajourneys.com/sitemap.xml”. Does this mean I’ll never have to submit my sitemap to Google ever again, I can just continue making updates to my website and publishing to mbajourneys.com?

Thanks!

Jason
